The Vertex Ventures network celebrated its 30 year anniversary in Singapore this October, bringing in our teams from across the world and friends from across our global network.
The event was opened by our CEO, Mr. Chua Kee Lock.
He gave a brief introduction of Vertex as a worldwide group of venture capital funds with investments in IT and health care.
While each fund has its specific focus areas, we have the same principles in that we look for young and energetic high-growth start-ups that are building disruptive technologies with tremendous growth potential.

We were happy to welcome the Singapore Cabinet Minister for Finance, Mr Heng Swee Keat attended the conference. The picture above shows him being welcomed by our executive team from SEA.
Mr Heng participated in a captivating discussion where he covered a variety of topics ranging from Singapore’s efforts to drive innovation, the future of work, and the role that financiers like venture capitalists play in the evolving global economy.
Many of our SEA & India portfolio were there to showcase their offerings to our audience of investors, friends, and colleagues.
We hosted a dinner that was attended by our investors, founders and friends from around the world.
At his welcome speech, our chairman Mr. Teo Ming Kian spoke about the history of Vertex.
He reminisced on the founding of Vertex in 1988 by Mr. Lee Kheng Nam, its near death experience in 2001 after the dot-com bubble burst and its evolution today to a global venture capital partnership.
In his speech, Mr Teo, thanked several members of the Temasek family for their support to Vertex over the years.
We were honored to have Ms. Ho Ching, CEO of Temasek Holdings, as our special guest for the evening. Ms. Ho Ching spoke about the evolution of Vertex, the technology ecosystem, and a subject dear to her heart, the importance organizations and individuals play in building a sustainable planet.
Our global teams from Singapore, China, Israel, USA, India, Indonesia & Taiwan attended the event.
